Where to Eat: CAFE 22, Copenhagen

Right after Athens, we took a little detour to Copenhagen before getting back home to Gothenburg. Last time I was here, was some years ago and I have been wanting to get back to this beautiful city filled of great restaurant, cafés and bars. Yesterday me and my boyfriend were looking for somewhere to eat breakfast, and we found this cosy place right by the river, called CAFE 22.

It’s located on Sortedam Dossering 21 in Inner Noerrebro, twenty minutes walking distance from Strøget (Copenhagens popular shopping street in the city centre). Having an outdoor seating area and located just by the river, it’s the perfect place to breakfast or brunch during the summer. CAFE 22 served everything from pizzas, sandwiches, pasta dishes, sallads and also classic, vegan and vegetarian brunch and breakfast.

Since me and my boyfriend weren’t too hungry we decided to share their “classic” brunch on their menu. The staff did the necessary adjustments to our order when we told them my boyfriend didn’t eat pork. Their brunch included yoghurt with granola and fresh berries, pancakes with jam, croissant, scrambled eggs and turkey, brie cheese, chevré cheese, newly baked bread with two kinds of butter and lastly, a small cup of watermelon and cantaloupe melon. It was all in all 109 Danish crona. Totally worth it - especially since we shared it!

This is definitely a place to check out if you want to get away from all the buzz during a hot summer month. Highly recommend!
